The history of Caffè Hausbrandt began in 1892, when Hermann Hausbrandt, a commander in the Austrian merchant navy, began experimenting with coffee roasting and founded the first wholesale coffee business in the port city of Trieste. Using the most advanced technologies available at the time, he was able to supply a product that was consistently fresh, ready for consumption and of the highest quality.

Today, the brand is owned by the Martino Zanetti company.
