Balada Coffee – Panama SHB Boquete

Balada Coffee Panama SHB Boquete is a specialty high-altitude 100% Arabica offering a full body with nutty notes and dark chocolate flavors. This coffee is grown on mountain plantations in the western part of Panama, in the Boquete region, on the slopes of the Baru volcano.

Our coffee is cultivated at altitudes ranging from 1,400 to 1,800 meters above sea level. Thanks to this elevation, the coffee carries the SHB (Strictly High Bean) designation, indicating that the beans have grown more slowly in cooler mountain conditions—an attribute that contributes to their exceptional quality.

For this coffee, we chose a medium-dark roast that delivers the best balance between fruitiness and acidity.

At Balada Coffee, we focused especially on premium quality, which is why we partnered with a small group of farmers who have been cultivating their plantations for generations. What matters most to us is the care and attention they give to each and every coffee bean.

Our coffees come from all over the world, and with every Balada Coffee, we know exactly which farm or coffee region it comes from. We love full flavor, strong body, pleasant fruitiness, and mild acidity. This is why we roast our beans to a medium level.

Our range includes coffees suitable for espresso, milk-based drinks, filters, and AeroPress.

It’s very important to us that our coffee always reaches you fresh, which is why we deliver only a few days after roasting.

Foundation for Premature Babies and Their Families

This foundation was established in December 2013 by Hana Píšová and Markéta Stránská, based on their personal experience with the birth of prematurely born twins. The foundation's goal is to help families of premature babies who find themselves in difficult financial and emotional situations. The foundation always supports a specific family and their specific needs related to premature birth.

Balada Coffee is a proud long-term partner of the Foundation for Premature Babies and Their Families. We donate a portion of every product sold to support this meaningful cause – and in doing so, you can help too.

Our coffee is grown at altitudes from 1400 to 1800 meters above sea level. Due to this altitude, the coffee can have the abbreviation SHB (Strictly High Bean) which points out that the beans of this coffee grew more slowly due to the colder alpine conditions, which is positively reflected in its high quality. For this coffee, we chose a medium-dark roast, which offers the best ratio between fruitiness and acidity.

At Balada Coffee, we paid particular attention to premium quality, and for this reason we approached a small group of farmers. They have been cultivating their plantations together for several generations. The care they devote to each individual grain was especially important to us.
