Kenya Kamunyaka comes from the renowned Nyeri region. It features beautiful, high-quality AA-size beans. It simply delivers what we expect from a top Kenyan coffee: excellent credentials on paper and an outstanding taste marked by pronounced sweetness and fruitiness — predominantly blackcurrant. Brewed as filter coffee, you may even detect notes of exotic fruit.

The Iriani Farmers Cooperative was established on December 29th, 1996. It is located in Nyeri County, specifically in the Iriaini area — which gave the cooperative its name. This region, lying southwest of Mt. Kenya, is famous for growing high-quality coffee. The cooperative comprises 1,700 active members and operates three processing stations: Kamunyaka, Kiamwangi and Miiri, with headquarters at the Kamunyaka station.

The processing stations are located on the southwestern side of Mt. Kenya National Park, approximately 4 km from the town of Karatina. Growing conditions are nearly perfect here, with a relatively humid climate by local standards. The area experiences two rainy seasons a year, and temperatures range from 12 °C to 26 °C throughout the year.

We are a Czech family-owned company of coffee lovers whose goal is to share our daily joy over cups of freshly roasted specialty coffee from around the world.

Coffee is our passion, and that’s why we pay close attention to every single bean to make sure the result is an unforgettable cup of coffee, even long after you've finished it.

Our coffees come from all over the world, and with every Balada Coffee we know exactly which farm or coffee region it came from. We enjoy a full taste, strong body, pleasant fruitiness, and only a mild acidity. That’s why we roast our beans “medium”. In our selection, you’ll find coffees suitable for espresso, milk-based drinks, as well as filters and AeroPress.

It’s very important that our coffee reaches you fresh, which is why we deliver it just a few days after roasting.

Foundation for Premature Babies and Their Families

This foundation was established in December 2013 by Hana Píšová and Markéta Stránská. It arose from our personal experience with the early birth of twins. The goal is to support families of prematurely born children who find themselves in difficult financial and emotional situations. The foundation always helps a specific family with a specific need related to premature birth.
