Civet coffee Kopi Luwak is one of the rarest and most luxurious coffees in the world, which is reflected in its exceptional and unforgettable taste.

Wondering why? The coffee beans must pass through the digestive tract of a small animal called a civet (in Indonesian: Luwak). The civet selects only the highest quality coffee beans to eat and then digests them. In the civet's digestive system, the beans are exposed to stomach acids and enzymes that change their flavor. After being excreted, the coffee beans are collected, cleaned, washed, then dried and stored. After roasting, the beans develop a magical aroma and delicate taste, just like in Balada Coffee Kopi Luwak.

Our Kopi Luwak coffee comes from the Indonesian island of Sumatra and only from wild civets (each batch of green coffee comes with a corresponding certificate). To ensure maximum freshness, we roast this coffee in small batches.

We are a Czech family company of coffee lovers whose goal is to share our daily joy from cups of freshly roasted specialty coffee from around the world.

Coffee is our passion, so we pay attention to every single bean to ensure the result is an unforgettable coffee taste that lasts long after the last sip.

Our coffees come from all over the world, and for all Balada Coffee beans, we know exactly which farm or coffee region they come from. We like full flavor, strong body, pleasant fruitiness, but only mild acidity. That is why we roast the beans to a "medium" level. We offer coffees suitable for espresso, milk-based drinks, but also filters and AeroPress.

It is very important to us that our coffees reach you always fresh, so we deliver the coffee only a few days after roasting.

This foundation was established in December 2013 by Hana Píšová and Markéta Stránská. It was created based on our personal experience with the birth of premature twins. The foundation aims to help families of prematurely born children who find themselves in difficult financial and psychological situations. The foundation always helps specific families with their particular needs connected to the premature child.
