Bolivia Organic Colonial Caranavi

This freshly roasted 100% Arabica is distinguished by its full yet smooth body, with hints of nutty and slightly spicy flavor. It comes from the mahogany forests of the small farmer cooperative Colonial Caranavi, located in northern Bolivia and consisting of 41 smallholders. Each of them cultivates an average of three acres of Arabica coffee trees of the Bourbon and Typica varieties, at altitudes reaching up to 1800 meters above sea level.

In addition to their commitment to continuously improving coffee quality, the farmers of Colonial Caranavi focus on enhancing ecological farming methods. These exclude not only the use of pesticides and chemical fertilizers, but also aim to preserve and improve the surrounding landscape.

We have chosen a medium-dark roast for this coffee, which provides the best balance between fruitiness and acidity.

Bolivian coffee is grown at altitudes ranging from 1,280 to 1,820 meters, and most of the Arabica produced is exported to Europe. The highest-quality coffee comes from the Yungas region, located along the Andes. While Bolivia doesn’t produce as much coffee as its neighboring countries, it offers uniquely interesting and flavorful varieties.

Foundation for Premature Babies and Their Families

This foundation was established in December 2013 by Hana Píšová and Markéta Stránská, based on their personal experience with the premature birth of twins. The goal of the foundation is to support families with premature babies who find themselves in difficult financial and emotional situations. The foundation always helps a specific family with specific needs related to the premature birth.
